Groundbreaking ceremony for new Rosenxt building in Lampertheim

Innovation hub for industrial testing technology

Lampertheim, July 16, 2025 – Rosenxt has officially started construction of its new site in Lampertheim with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony. A modern production and office building for the Industrial Diagnostic Systems division is being constructed on a site covering around 14,800 m². Representatives from the city and district authorities were joined by the construction companies involved and Rosenxt employees at the event.

A forward-looking new building is being constructed on Wilhelm-Herz-Ring, which will bring development, production, and office workplaces together under one roof. The Industrial Diagnostic Systems division develops and manufactures industrial testing systems for the non-destructive testing of safety-critical semi-finished products and end products. The systems are used worldwide, for example in the inspection of railway wheels, rails, pipes, and heavy plate. The testing systems are also used in the aviation industry, the automotive sector, and in the field of renewable energies. The focus is on applied development, manufacturing, and international commissioning. The groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of the construction phase, which is expected to be completed by spring 2026.

“With the new location in Lampertheim, we are specifically pooling our technical expertise and innovative strength in an area that is essential for the safety of industrial infrastructures. This not only creates optimal conditions for research, development, and production, but also strengthens our position as a technology partner in the long term,” says Dirk van Vinckenroye, General Manager at Rosenxt.

New location with potential

Around 25 employees will initially move from the previous location in Frankenthal, Rhineland-Palatinate, to Lampertheim. "This move will provide us with a modern infrastructure and ideal conditions for expanding our team in a targeted manner in the future. With its proximity to universities, for example, the region offers ideal conditions for long-term growth. The next step is to gradually expand the team with skilled personnel in order to further increase the capacity of the location in line with our growth trajectory," explains Dirk Rohmann, branch office representative  in Lampertheim.

The city of Lampertheim is also delighted about the new location: “We are very pleased that Rosenxt, an international player, has chosen Lampertheim as its business location,” explains Mayor Gottfried Störmer. “This is not a matter of course given the competitive situation we find ourselves in between the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Neckar regions with their large cities. We will therefore do everything we can to ensure that the company feels at home here for as long as possible.”

A forward-looking step for Rosenxt

With the construction in Lampertheim, Rosenxt is sending a clear signal for further growth, innovative strength, and the importance of sustainable industrial expertise in Germany as a business location. The new site is not only an important building block for strengthening the Industrial Diagnostic Systems business unit, but also an expression of Rosenxt's long-term commitment to combining technological excellence with responsible site development.
