Non-Destructive Testing “Made in Lampertheim”: Rosenxt IDS Opens New Site
Industrial inspection technology for worldwide deployment
Lampertheim, August 31, 2026 – Around 13 months after the ceremonial groundbreaking, Rosenxt today celebrated the completion of its new site in Lampertheim. Together with representatives from politics, business and public administration, the company officially opened the newly built production and office facility for its Industrial Diagnostic Systems (IDS) business unit.
Rosenxt IDS develops and manufactures industrial inspection systems for the non-destructive testing of safety-critical semi-finished and finished products. Its systems are used worldwide, for example to inspect railway wheels and rails, pipes and heavy plates. These inspection systems are also used in the aerospace and automotive industries, as well as in the renewable-energy sector.
“This site lays the foundation for the future: it brings together state-of-the-art technology and ideal conditions for a highly motivated team. In Lampertheim, we have created the perfect environment to further develop our products for the international market,” says Dirk Rohmann, Site Manager in Lampertheim. “IDS is firmly rooted in the region and benefits, among other things, from its proximity to renowned universities and research institutions. This will enable us to continue growing over the long term and strategically expand the site’s capacities.”
Highly skilled jobs in the region
Political and administrative representatives also welcome the new settlement. “With Rosenxt IDS, the City of Lampertheim has gained a global player right on its doorstep. We are very proud that this company will not only strengthen our business location and help retain and expand highly skilled jobs in the region, but will also become another local partner with whom we can build a sustainable, mutually beneficial relationship,” says Alexander Scholl, Mayor of Lampertheim.
At the Wilhelm-Herz-Ring site, which covers approximately 14,800 square metres, around 25 employees will initially work on cutting-edge non-destructive testing technologies. In addition to a large-scale production area, the new facility also includes an office building, ensuring short distances and efficient processes.
For Rosenxt and IDS, Lampertheim is an important component of the company’s long-term growth strategy and strategically expands its network of sites in southern Germany with modern production and office space. “The new site in Lampertheim is already a genuine success story: from groundbreaking to opening in just one year – that is only possible thanks to excellent planning and the smooth cooperation between the local administration and construction companies,” Dirk Rohmann adds.
